šš Cymodocea nodosa: a key seagrass species of the Mediterranean #CymodoceaNodosa is found throughout the #MediterraneanSea and extends to the #Atlantic ā northward to Portugal and southward to Senegal š. It's also common in the #CanaryIslands šļø. Along with #PosidoniaOceanica, Cymodocea Nodosa is one of the most widespread #Seagrass species in the #MediterraneanSea šæāØ. This adaptable seagrass is distributed from the intertidal zone to depths of 33ā35 m and can be found in substrates ranging from coarse sand to muddy sediments.
