People ask me all the time what book or resource had the biggest impact on my elevator business. But there wasn't just one. Over the years, I've learned from Dale Carnegie, Stephen Covey, EOS, mentors, CFOs, CEO roundtables, and countless books and classes. Every one of them gave me another piece of the puzzle. Dale Carnegie taught me how to better understand people. Stephen Covey taught me principles of leadership and effectiveness. EOS gave me a practical framework to put those lessons into action. And some of my greatest lessons came from people who asked me the hard questions and challenged me to think differently. One of my personal philosophies has always been: LTLE Learn. Teach. Lead. Empower. The longer I'm in this industry, the more I believe that curiosity is one of the greatest advantages a leader can have. The moment we think we've got it all figured out is usually the moment we stop growing. What's one book, mentor, or lesson that's changed the way you lead? I’m always on the hunt for more knowledge so feel free to drop it in the comments.
