Sad news. Eddie worked for 🇨🇦 PM Chretien when I worked for 🇺🇸 Ambassador Giffin. Fast forward to three years ago when I joined Manulife and Eddie pitched me on traveling to 🇨🇳 with the Prime Minister and him. I didn’t do that trip, but got to China subsequently. Eddie was keen for the pre-brief and de-brief as ever. He was such an enthusiastic champion of Canada’s role on the world stage. Deepest condolences to all of Eddie’s loved ones. ♥️
