🌍 How can we rethink law in the face of today’s global challenges? As part of the Global Scholars Intensive 2026, organized by the Institute for Global Law & Policy (IGLP) at Harvard Law School in partnership with Sciences Po Law School, David Kennedy shares his perspective on the intellectual challenges of our time. Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and Director of the IGLP, David Kennedy encourages the next generation to look beyond disciplinary and national boundaries in order to better understand today’s complex global challenges. Law, economics, sociology, psychology: only by bringing these perspectives together can we better understand how contemporary problems emerge and continue to be reproduced. For David Kennedy, those who seek to transform the world must first understand how today’s challenges emerged and learn from previous generations. 💬 “Innovation is not something that happens every 500 years. It’s something that happens all the time and that we can be part of.” From June 11 to 13, Sciences Po welcomed scholars, faculty members and students from around the world to Paris for this unique collaboration with Harvard Law School, dedicated to global law, governance and public policy.
