Science & Technology Australia is calling for applications to the 2027–2028 round of the Superstars of STEM program, closing 20 August 2026. ✨ Are you a woman or non-binary person working in science, technology, engineering or maths? Do you want to step into the spotlight, on panels, in the press, on social media and in classrooms, as a visible role model for the next generation? This is your moment. 👩‍🔬 Over two years, 60 Superstars will receive: 🎙️ Expert media & communications training – build genuine confidence in front of a camera, a microphone or a crowd 🤝 A high-profile mentor – guiding your public profile and career 🏫 School visits – inspiring the scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians of tomorrow 🌐 A powerful national network – connecting with STEM leaders working together to smash outdated stereotypes Superstars of STEM exists because representation matters. When students, especially girls and gender-diverse young people, can see and hear from real experts who look like them, it changes what they believe is possible for their own futures. Since its inception in 2017, the Superstars program has helped over 100,000 students to discover science and innovation. We are looking for people who are ready to put themselves forward: to pitch stories, front media opportunities and become a recognisable, trusted voice for STEM in Australia.
