What do you get when you mix teen pop culture references 💅, time travelling witches ⏰🔮, and zine making 📰? A very Sci_Burst workshop experience 💃 Earlier this month we ran a #scicomm and science storytelling #workshop for this group of exceptional high school students participating in the Curious Minds - girls in STEM ‘East’ Camp at The Australian National University 👩‍🔬💜 #CuriousMinds is an incredibly important and impactful STEM mentoring program for talented girls in years 8 and 9 who have limited opportunities because of where they live (including regional and remote locations), their socio-economic background, and/or their Indigenous status. We’re so grateful we could be a part of this year’s program and play a small role in empowering these brilliant young minds 💜💖 It was also a very special moment for Isabel, who interned for Australian Science Innovations and Curious Minds when she was studying and who’s first science communication job was helping run their social media! ✨ Want to book us for your next high school event or program?
