SCHUNK x Bosch: Development cooperation for an industrial-grade humanoid robot hand. 🤝 Together with Bosch we’re pooling our expertise to develop a prototype humanoid robot hand designed for industrial use and built to integrate into different humanoid robot systems. Requirements from various industries will directly shape the development and open up new application possibilities in production and logistics. With rising productivity pressure, shorter product lifecycles, and increasing labor shortages, automation needs to become more adaptable. Humanoid robotics is a promising approach for variable environments, and flexible robot hands play a key role when handling a wide range of objects, shapes, and materials. At Bosch ConnectedWorld 2026, we already showcased what strong partnerships can make possible: a demonstrator illustrated core capabilities of humanoid systems – perceiving the environment, grasping and handling objects, and executing a complete process. By combining a humanoid robot with an anthropomorphic SCHUNK hand, it became clear how powerful robot systems, intelligent gripping solutions, and modern software can be brought together into an end-to-end industrial application.
