From Phuket to the future of melamine surfaces. Last month, #Schattdecor was part of the "Melamine Lamination Technology & Design" Symposium in Phuket. The event brought together industry partners, manufacturers, and customers from across the Asia-Pacific region for an in-depth exchange on where melamine technology and design are headed. As part of the agenda, Felix Schoeller presented their Color Report 2026, reflecting color directions for the APAC market, with terracotta emerging as one of the defining tones of the year. And it makes sense. After years of cool grays and stark whites dominating interior design, the market is shifting toward warmth, comfort, and authenticity. But this isn't the loud, rustic terracotta of decades past. The 2026 version is far more refined: powdery clays, sun-baked desert hues, soft and desaturated earth tones that function as warm neutrals rather than bold accents. Paired with #Pantone's Color of the Year, Cloud Dancer, a chalky, ethereal off-white, the combination creates spaces that feel calm, organic, and grounded. For us at #Schattdecor, this shift is directly relevant. As surface specialists for the furniture and flooring industry, we see how color trends translate into decor demand and terracotta's rise signals a broader move toward biophilic, tactile, and warmth-driven surfaces. The kind of surfaces our customers are already asking for. Events like this are exactly where industry exchange becomes tangible inspiration. Thank you to everyone who was part of it. 🙏 #MelamineSurfaces #SurfaceSpecialist #DesignTrends #Terracotta #ColorTrends2026 #Phuket #APAC
