Meet Colby Wong, PE. At 6 years old, she was building a chair from scrap wood using her grandmother's shoe as a hammer. Today, she's an engineer on SCE's Geotechnical Engineering and Inspections team. Her team investigates what lies below ground so we can safely build and upgrade substations, transmission equipment and access roads.  Recently, one of the most meaningful parts of her work was mentoring newer engineers. For Wong, these mentorship moments add even deeper purpose to her technical work. "Knowing that my work makes an impact on the safety of the public is so rewarding," said Wong.
