Today, SHN celebrated the continued success of the Nanji Foundation Stroke Centre at Birchmount Hospital! The event highlighted the Centre’s achievements, including earning the prestigious Stroke Distinction Award from Accreditation Canada in 2024. Marking its fifth year of service on April 8, the Centre has been a leader in advancing stroke care in Scarborough, with excellence in acute and rehabilitation care. We also celebrated the Integrated Stroke Unit’s second Designated Stroke Unit Best Practice Award for outstanding performance. Hospital leaders emphasized the exceptional work of our stroke care teams, who earned these accomplishments and are dedicated to maintaining the Centre’s patient-centred approach. Special thanks to Gulshan and Pyarali and their son Azim of the Nanji Family Foundation for their attendance and generosity, which has made the success of our centre possible. #StrokeCare
