When Wendy Robinson was diagnosed with a rare neuro-endocrine cancer, her world shifted overnight. Over the next seven years, the care she received at SHN guided her through treatment and inspired her and her husband Joe to give back. ❤️ Wendy’s cancer was first identified and treated by Dr. Jason Wong, and she was supported for years by Dr. Arnold Tepperman until his retirement. “These doctors saved my life,” she shares. Joe also faced serious health challenges and was cared for by Dr. Joseph Ricci, who referred him to cardiac rehabilitation, where Joe now gives back as a dedicated volunteer supporting patients like him. Through every experience, one thing stood out: the compassion and kindness of the care they received. It’s what led them to include SHN in their Will, ensuring future patients can benefit from the same life-changing care. "We wanted to support the hospitals that had been front and foremost in our care… if someone takes care of you, you need to take care of them," says Wendy. This Leave a Legacy Month, Wendy and Joe remind us that even a single gift can help ensure future patients receive the same compassionate, exceptional care.
