Congratulations to the team of scientists from UC San Diego School of Medicine, the Salk Institute and Sanford Burnham Prebys on receiving a $13 million award from the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM). The group will study how eliminating “RNA pollution” in aging neurons may help reverse age-related neurodegeneration, with the goal of advancing new therapies for neurodegenerative diseases.
