Opportunity for Lithuanian business! Petras Jašinskas, the head of SBA Group company Utenos trikotažas, says that Western customers are motivated to move production from Asia to Europe not only by a supply chain that is disrupted by a coronavirus or by the possibility of savings. "Buyers are starting to take serious care not only of what their clothing made of but also where it made, whether factory workers paid fair wages, what footprint the product leaves on the planet. For almost a decade, Utenos Trikotažas has been focusing on customers working in the higher and medium price segment. Avoiding price competition alone opens up opportunities to focus on more expensive, ecological, clean and sustainable production – that global trend is gaining" - explains Petras.
