It feels like just yesterday these little ones were tiny babies, and now they're already running, climbing, and exploring with curiosity! 🥹💚 The four hand-reared Owston's civets born this May have recently moved into a new enclosure, equipped with a variety of environmental enrichment features, including tree branches, logs, vines, and other structures designed to encourage climbing, scent exploration, foraging, and the development of their natural behaviours. Judging by their excitement and adventurous spirit, it looks like the quartet has officially given their new home a big thumbs up! 😆 --------------------------------------- The Owston's civet (Chrotogale owstoni) is currently listed as Endangered (EN) on the IUCN Red List due to severe population declines caused by illegal hunting and habitat loss. In partnership with Cuc Phuong National Park and with the valuable help of partners, Save Vietnam's Wildlife is implementing a conservation breeding programme for the Owston's civet to help safeguard the species' genetic diversity and support the long-term recovery of wild populations. 💚 🌻Help us rescue, care for, and secure a future for one of the world's rarest civets: https://svw.vn/donate/
