No child should die from hunger when the solutions exist. Yet around the world, one in four children are living in severe food poverty. Save the Children is joining Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, UNICEF, Action Against Hunger UK, ALIMA, Gates Foundation, ELMA Philanthropies and others in the One Childhood, One Chance Alliance, a major new Alliance to deliver lifesaving support to at least 5 million children facing hunger and malnutrition. The Alliance will help children like 8-month-old Hamdan* from Somaliland. Without enough food, Hamdan became dangerously ill with malnutrition and pneumonia. His mother brought him to a Save the Children health centre, where he received urgent treatment. Today, he is making a strong recovery. Childhood hunger is not caused by a lack of solutions, it is caused by a lack of action. This is a crisis we can end if we act together. This Alliance is the start of a bigger vision for Save the Children to tackle child malnutrition in humanitarian settings, building on the strong foundations of this partnership. ๐ Read more about the One Childhood, One Chance Alliance: https://bit.ly/4fqEbHs
