A founder messaged me yesterday:  “Saurabh, we just let go of our first developer who refused to use AI tools. Felt terrible… but it was the right call.” That message hit hard. But it’s 2025 reality. At AddWeb (250+ devs), we now have one non-negotiable rule:  You don’t have to love AI.   But actively fighting or ignoring it makes you the slowest, most expensive person on the team. The devs who treat Claude / Cursor / Copilot as a brilliant (slightly drunk) junior pair-programmer are now:   → Shipping features 2–3× faster   → Reviewing 10× more code   → Spending 70% of their day on architecture, security, and actual business impact  The ones who don’t?
