Impressive interview by Ola Kallenius of Daimler, even if you’re not following the automobile industry: https://lnkd.in/dCYpHmP In particular, how to conduct a video interview: perfect pose, eye contact, direct and crisp answers, perfect English, no gesticulations, nodding, waving, shaking, eye rolling, eyebrow raising, patronizing fuzzy statistic quoting, enthusiastic overriding confidence effusing, high horse stern lecturing, interrupting etc. The only criticism I have is that the background kitchen could have been more human, equipped with a Braun coffee machine for example. And maybe he could have dressed down to a pajama set and gown with Mercedes logo. Just to be more in tune with the times. Heck, I’m not his PR advisor, will probably flunk his interview from 0 to < 6 seconds flat. No big deal. A stirring interview nonetheless, highly recommended. Honest disclaimer: Mr. Kallenius and I share a fondness for futuristic electric cars. In fact, I was one of the few recipients of their prototype electric Mercedes roadster that charges from, believe it or not, an Apple Thunderbolt 3 cable! Can you believe it. Got it from the Stuttgart gift shop with his best regards (which cost an additional though reasonable 10€). One of my most treasured possessions.
