Exploring Sartorius' Sites Worldwide: Fluid Management Technologies in M'Hamdia, Tunisia 📍 Located near Tunis, M'Hamdia is a key site for the production of single-use bags and smart consumables used in biopharmaceutical processes. 🏭 The site was established in 2001, with operations beginning in 2002, when it employed 75 people and featured 850 m² of cleanroom space. Since then, it has grown significantly: The latest major expansion in 2022 added 10,000 m² of new space, including 2,400 m² of cleanrooms, as well as a modern warehouse and logistics facilities. 🏗️ 👩🏻‍🔬 Today, the site is home to more than 800 employees. ♻️ The site received ISCC Plus Certification for the manufacturing of selected Flexsafe® bags with certified renewable raw materials. Fossil-based materials can be reduced by around 70 percent in the Flexsafe® film while ensuring full compatibility with existing bioprocesses. 📚 Established in 2019, the Sartorius Academy Tunisia serves as a training center that supports employees in developing the skills required for BPF (Bonne Pratique de Fabrication) and BPD (Bonne Fabrique Documentaires). ⚽️ The site promotes a healthy work-life balance with amenities such as sports halls, breastfeeding rooms, and holds regular awareness days focused on well-being. In July 2025, the M'Hamdia soccer team proudly won the local Coupe de football Prima League! 🌍 As a global life science company, Sartorius is at home worldwide.
