Building Sutlej Tribe | IIM Bangalore
In 2014, my parents couldn’t attend my convocation at IIM Bangalore. My father was on duty at a government hospital in Himachal, and my mother was in the fields, caring for our farm and animals🐑 🌱. They didn’t fully know what IIMB meant; they only knew their daughter was working hard, and that was enough. This year, I brought them to the campus. As we stood in front of the stone walls of IIMB, I felt a quiet wave of gratitude❤️. Those years shaped me for real life, but everything I became was rooted in what my parents taught me: hard work, humility, and resilience. Coming from a small village and a humble family, dreaming big wasn’t obvious, yet they never stopped me. During my corporate years, one thought stayed with me: How can I make my mother’s life a little easier? How can I give back to the land and community that raised me? That question led to SUTLEJ TRIBE. It is my small attempt to give back — to support my people, to preserve our unique ecological and cultural heritage, and to ensure that the hard work of families like mine is valued and rewarded. #gratefulheart #pahadigirl #givingback #entrepreneurship
