Senior Communications & Public Affairs Lead at Perigus Energy, a new onshore renewables player in Europe

ABC: an acquisition, a new brand, and a communications strategy across four European markets…  all in four months. 2026 has already been a big year. In early February, we announced the sale of Ørsted’s onshore European business to Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. For me and my communications colleagues, that kicked off a four-month sprint to: • Find a new name that could actually be trademarked across Europe • Create a new visual identity and roll it out across Ireland, Germany, the UK, and Spain. • Significantly scale internal communications to keep teams informed and connected through the transition. • Continue external communications for operational, in-construction, and development-stage renewable energy projects across all four markets. • Build a website. • Develop a new social media presence and strategy. • Plan a launch. • Deepen relationships with our European colleagues and management team • and capture content like the video below. It’s been quite a ride. Now that we’re finally coming up for air, it’s incredibly rewarding to see the name, brand, and strategy come to life. Huge thanks to Red&Grey for delivering exceptional work on an exceptionally compressed timeline, to Sarah Horgan and Cathal O'Carroll for all your advice. When you’re deep in the work, it’s easy to lose sight of how unique the challenge really is: capturing the essence of a European renewables company with deep local roots and a strong reputation of delivery, while positioning it for its next phase of growth.
