Last week, Cai Guo-Qiang painted a manuscript in the sky above the Douro River in Porto. Not with paint. With gunpowder and drones. Over ten minutes, a blank page formed in the air, then slowly transformed into motifs telling the story of Porto's history and literary spirit. It was called "One Page" and it was Portugal's first ever drone and daytime fireworks performance. He's a Chinese contemporary artist whose medium is fireworks. Not entertainment. Art. Each installation is designed around the city it's in, its culture, its memory. As a marketer, what strikes me isn't just the spectacle. It's the intention. Every light sequence means something. Every explosion is deliberate. Dubai does scale. Dubai does ambition. But imagine what a commission like this could look like here, designed around this city's identity, its mix of cultures, its story. Chinese New Year. Expo legacy. A waterfront that deserves more than fireworks. Would you want to see this in Dubai? Video credit: Cai Guo-Qiang Studio / Caistudioeg #Dubai #ExperientialMarketing #Art #BrandStrategy #Marketing
