Anyone who knows me knows that flying and I are not the happiest of companions…but despite the long-haul journey (and my very real fear of flying!), I’m venturing forth to Singapore next week. What’s giving me the courage, you ask? Possibly the chance to present at Singapore International Water Week (Singapore International Water Week (SIWW)) on "Advancing the Water-Food-Energy Nexus – the Biosolids PFAS Challenge” (which I’m fairly sure belongs somewhere between The Half-Blood Prince and The Goblet of Fire in the series of unnecessarily long and mysterious titles). This was co-authored with Andrew McLeod, who - sadly for him - is remaining in the UK battling the rather less glamorous inclement UK weather. I’m really looking forward to meeting brilliant colleagues from across the globe, making new connections, reconnecting with familiar faces and taking in what promises to be a fantastic line-up of insightful presentations and panels. If you’re attending, do come and say hello to the AtkinsRéalis team: Richard Lancaster, Stephen Riches, Amber Bullen, Matthew Stewart, Matthew Toy, Rex Liu, Atlas Fung, Ken Hunu, D.Eng., PE, BC.WRE, PMP, CFM, Kelvin Cheng, Duraisaminathan Visvanathan, Ker Song Sim, Yanning Zhang and Selena Li #AtkinsRealisAsia #SIWW2026 #Water #Bioresources #Biosolids
