I am incredibly proud and grateful to share that my article, “Cuerpos que interrumpen: Contraarchivo, memoria y feminismo en Talʿat y Ni Una Menos,” has been published in Volume 80, Issue 2 of Symposium: A Quarterly Journal in Modern Literatures! Originally written in Spanish for my final Spanish seminar at American University — SPAN-455: Performance & Activism in Latin America — this article offers a comparative analysis of the feminist movements Talʿat in Palestine and Ni Una Menos in Argentina, examining how collective protest mobilizes the female body as a political counterarchive. This publication represents the culmination of years of Spanish language study alongside my academic work on decolonial thought, memory studies, displacement, and embodied resistance. I feel deeply fortunate to have had the opportunity to bring these areas of scholarship together through this project. I am especially grateful to Brenda Werth, my Spanish professor at American University, whose teaching and mentorship profoundly shaped my academic development and encouraged me to pursue publication of this article.
