After 25 years away, it’s incredibly exciting to be back in Brisbane, a city that feels more dynamic and full of opportunity than ever. Six months ago, I relocated with Aurecon to lead our Queensland Buildings team, and it’s slowly starting to feel like home again. Every day I’m energised by the projects we’re helping shape across the state, from Olympic venues and airport expansions to integrated transport and land use planning initiatives. The scale and diversity of work happening across Queensland right now is remarkable, and you can genuinely feel the excitement and momentum across both the city and our industry. What makes it even more rewarding is doing it alongside such an engaged, focused and talented team and, as an added bonus they are genuinely great people to work with!
