I had the privilege to talk through my carrier growth in Tech (landing in Google ) and how my "Italianity" had helped me figure out my way through challenges, sacrifices and hopes since I moved from Italy to Dublin in 2015, with Elisa Calpona, PhD. Elisa is a charismatic leader that picked me to "inspire" young Italians that might be thinking about leaving the country and start from scratch, exactly like I did 11 years ago. Unfortunately Italy does not stand out for a healthy workplace and/or abundance of good jobs (at least not consistently across the country and not for young people that want to kick start their careers) and this message is somehow wired into their minds and plants a seed for exhaustion, lack of motivation and powerlessness. With this interview, my objective is to give back to these people the hope they deserve and to inspire them to get out of their comfort zone to put their skills into practice and to BUILD their career the way they want, with patience, resilience and humility.
