Corporate Moving update June 2026 — International relocations continue to operate within a dynamic global shipping environment shaped by geopolitical uncertainty, rising freight rates, regulatory change and evolving sustainability requirements. While progress has been reported towards reopening the Strait of Hormuz, shipping activity remains limited and capacity constraints continue to affect global trade routes. Container freight rates have increased as an early peak season develops, driven by stronger demand and ongoing vessel diversions. Organisations should also be aware of stricter vehicle shipping compliance enforcement in Germany and the expansion of the UK Emissions Trading Scheme to maritime transport from 1 July.
