For more than 20 years, computer science and engineering professor Yi Fang has been at the forefront of AI research. As director of Santa Clara University's Responsible AI program, his work explores the intersection of machine learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, and ethics, helping shape a future where technology serves the common good. Through research focused on improving search engines, expanding access to information, and advancing responsible innovation, Fang is helping answer one of the most important questions of our time: How do we build AI that benefits society?
