Two Santa Clara University baseball players heard their names called in the 2026 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft. Right-handed pitcher Max Bayles was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the seventh round, the first Bronco the Twins have picked since 1994. Shortstop Ben Cleary was selected by the Cleveland Guardians in the 12th round, the first Bronco the Guardians have picked since 2006. The selections mark the second time in three years multiple Broncos have been drafted, following Robert Hipwell (San Francisco Giants) and Blake Hammond (Athletics) in 2024.
