The Japan Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has approved the first BTK inhibitor to treat adults with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) who are refractory to other treatments.  This new oral, reversible treatment targets the underlying complex immune system dysregulation that causes ITP. Its approval reinforces our commitment to leveraging our deep knowledge of the immune system to develop next generation treatment innovations that advance care for people living with #RareBloodDisorders.
