Earlier this week, I attended the 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴 𝘋𝘰𝘰𝘳𝘴 event organised by Harrington Starr to celebrate #IWD. A strong reminder that leadership is less about title & more about mindset. 5 reflections that stayed with me: - 𝐒𝐚𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲. Momentum often starts with a decision, not certainty. - 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. Growth rarely happens in safe territory; the penguin analogy made that one stick. - 𝐎𝐰𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬. Readiness is often a myth & action creates clarity. - 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜. They open when you step forward. - 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬. The ripple effect of one opportunity can extend far beyond the first step. Beyond the talks, the real value was in the conversations, the stories, and the shared experiences.
