As we continue to mark our three milestone anniversaries this year, we are spotlighting the people whose passion, expertise and dedication have shaped our journey. Twenty years ago, Katrin Bauer joined Hexal as a pharmacist intern. Since then, she has built a truly global career across commercial and development roles, working in Germany, Austria and Japan, and taking on responsibilities at country, regional and global levels. One of the most defining chapters of her journey was in Japan, where she spent three years helping shape portfolio strategy, product launches and business development in a highly challenging market. As the only foreign employee in Sandoz Japan at the time, she helped bring new molecules to patients while supporting significant business growth.
