There are 156 rose beds in the San José Municipal Rose Garden, and Kylee Kiesow knows them all. Kiesow, ’20 Hospitality, Tourism, Event Management, created an interactive map of the garden, complete with a clickable map, nine walking tours, curated rose profiles and family scavenger hunts. “People are often encouraged to use technology, but not always as a roadmap for finding what’s meaningful to you,” she says. “A lot of times we’re talking about ROI for enterprise corporations, but I also want to know how to use these tools to make a measurable difference in our community. What excites me most about this project is having a learning tool that hopefully [helps] families have fun together, as well as have a deeper appreciation for parks.” Read more about the project, which is now featured on the City of San José website here - https://ow.ly/GxWn50Zn3Sn
