Oggi è la festa di San Giuseppe - Father's Day in Italy - Festa di Papà. So here's my yearly public LinkedIn reminder to myself, any other papà who wants to listen and maybe even their managers that: ⏰ The most important deadline of the day is being there for them before they feel neglected. 🗓️ The most important meeting of the day is hearing about what they did at school today. ("Niente." cit. mini-Bradberry) 🧑‍💻 The most important huddle of the day is the one where we tell the same story for the 100th time. (Who needs AI to invent bedtime stories when the imagination of a 4-year will beat any hallucination hands-down) 📦 The most important procurement of the day is to find the t-shirt that isn't the one you picked out that is definitely the one that is needed. (L'8 di Lautaro - which is in fact 10) ✅ The most important decision of the day is who is going to be Ironman and who is going to be Aquaman. So much urgency and importance is manufactured and only serves to distracts from the call of what is really essential and from whom we are really needed. 👨‍👦‍👦 I'm no leader, my advice likely has no significance and likely to have poor business consequences - but papà: clock off as early as possible today. And go save the world, Aquaman (of course papà has to be Aquaman - Ironman is so much cooler)
