We are excited to officially welcome Shuwen Ding to our Summer 2025 internship program for our Research & Modeling division!! During her assignment, Shuwen impressed us with her sophisticated vertical analysis framework that quantified market fragmentation, AI-readiness, regulatory complexity, and margin improvement potential. Her dental care vertical assessment stood out by identifying specific AI-automatable workflows with concrete ROI calculations and mapping the industry's fragmentation pattern. We were particularly struck by Shuwen's deep understanding of our tech roll-up business model during her interview. She provided thoughtful analysis of target industries like dentistry and manufacturing, citing specific examples of technology transitions; --Her energy was contagious. Her ability to articulate valuation methodologies while discussing broader AI and technology trends demonstrated the systems thinking and commercial instinct we value at Samsara. Currently pursuing Cognitive Science at Cornell University, Shuwen brings diverse experience from Cornell Hedge Fund, Cayuga Healthcare Consulting, and research at the Schaffer-Nishimura Lab. Before that Shuwen worked on on 1-MHz ultrasonic cleaning of multilayer-dielectric diffraction gratings at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics. This interdisciplinary background exemplifies the polymath mindset and pragmatic dreamer quality essential to Samsara Capital Partners' multidimensional investment approach.
