Operations & Project Coordination | Production & Quality Environment | International Communication DE/EN/FR/ES | REFA 4.0

Visiting Texprocess in Frankfurt this year left me with mixed impressions. For a platform built around innovation and industry exchange, the low number of exhibitors is hard to ignore. It raises a fundamental question: are we really innovating every two years or just repeating cycles? An other few observations: --> Efficiency is no longer a differentiator, it’s expected! --> Digital tools have become standard across development and production. --> The real focus is shifting toward functionality and performance of garments. What stood out most is the gap between what is technically possible and what is actually implemented in production. From a garment technology and REFA perspective, this is exactly where the real work begins: structured processes, standardization, and consistent implementation. At the same time, it’s worth noting that companies like VEIT GmbH remain fully German-owned and independent. In a consolidating market, that signals strong identity and long-term thinking. What still makes the difference is personal exchange. Great to connect face-to-face with selected partners as part of Création Gross GmbH & Co. KG, because real progress doesn’t happen on exhibition stands, but in implementation. So the real question is: Is the format still driving innovation or just maintaining it?
