Tank and the Bangas have been one of my favorite collaborators. "Oak Tree" is one of their most powerful songs — and when we arranged it for the orchestra, the ending was the part I cared about most. The job was never to reinvent that song. It was to honor the weight it already carries, then let the orchestra take it the rest of the way home. This is that ending.
