🌡️ HEAT SAFETY ALERT: June 30 – July 4 Record heat is moving across our Southeast region this week, with the Carolinas in a moderate-risk zone for extreme heat. Temps in the low-to-mid 90s and heat index values topping 100°F are expected across our jobsites in NC, SC, and GA — with Charleston and Savannah seeing some of the highest heat index risk in our footprint. Heat is the deadliest weather hazard in the U.S., and our outdoor crews are on the front lines. Here's what everyone on a jobsite needs to do this week: 💧 Drink before you're thirsty — 8 oz. of water every 15–20 minutes 🚫 Skip energy drinks & alcohol — they speed up dehydration 🤝 Buddy up — check on your crew throughout the day 🌳 Use the shade, take breaks — especially 10 AM–4 PM 👕 Wear light, breathable gear ⚠️ Know the signs — confusion, hot/dry skin, or rapid pulse = call 911 immediately Stay sharp, stay hydrated, and look out for each other.
