You see this photo? These are 2 of the 3 women who God placed in my life at the start of my working life as a young, naive 23 year old. Gloria and Ajiri. The 3rd, not featured is Habiba Balogun . There’s this awesome video circulating about how we should be the kind of women that want other women to bloom and grow. Women that genuinely want the best for the women they work with. From the day I set foot in Commercial Bank (Credit Lyonnaise) back in 1991 all disheveled and unprepared for an interview till this very moment, these women have been such women to me. I’m not sure I can ever talk about my career and not mention these three ladies. I’m just so grateful to God for the gift of this photo treasure. For the gift and privilege of life. And for bonds that time and space can’t sever. It’s my prayer that we will not just be women (and men) that help others bloom and grow, we will raise them.
