This is CLIMATE CHANGE. Nature Always Claims Its Space. We build multi-crore engineering marvels, draw straight lines through ancient mountains, and call them "progress". We look at images of landslides and floods as if they are distant disasters happening to someone else. But nature does not recognise our property papers, our highway boundaries, or our false sense of ownership. When we disrupt the balance of the terrain, nature does not "attack" us - it simply RESTORES EQUILIBRIUM. The debris falling on our roads is just nature entering the spaces we carved out of it. The Reality Check... This is not an isolated local incident. It is a symptom of a much larger, systemic shift: ✅ 99% of Days: In the first nine months of 2025, India recorded EXTREME weather events on 270 out of 273 days. ✅ Every Single Corner: All 36 states and union territories in India experienced these extreme events, proving that no region is insulated. ✅ The Escalation: Extreme weather days in the country rose from 241 in 2022 to 270 in 2025, with climate-related FATALITIES increasing by 48% over the same period. ✅ Monsoon Intensity: During the 2025 monsoon, heavy rain, floods, and landslides occurred every single day across the country for 122 days straight. We cannot engineering-solve our way out of ECOLOGICAL BLINDNESS. True sustainability is not about adding a "green" label to an extractive business model or a massive infrastructure project after the damage is done. It requires looking at facts with absolute clarity and stepping away from the ego-driven illusion that we can conquer the environment. Development cannot just look at cutting down travel times by 20 minutes; it must factor in slope stability, natural drainage corridors, and regional carrying capacities before the first excavator touches the soil. If we continue to treat nature as an obstacle to be cleared, the feedback will only grow louder, costlier, and closer to our so-called homes. We must not look away. The truth is right in front of us... #ClimateAction #Sustainability #Infrastructure #EcologicalResilience #CommonSenseSustainability #TheBetterHuman Image by Reading Room
