Giving Back, Building Futures — SG-GCC's School Upliftment Initiative 🏫 At Saint-Gobain Global Competency Centre, corporate responsibility isn't a checkbox — it's a commitment we carry with genuine pride. As part of our CSR School Upliftment Program, we identified a Zilla Parishad School in Karjat that was in urgent need of attention. The roof offered little protection against the scorching summer heat. Monsoon rains meant water leaking into classrooms. And the sanitation facilities were in poor condition — circumstances no child should have to learn in. The school reached out. We showed up. 🤝 Using our 2025–26 CSR Budget, we undertook a full renovation of the school — addressing the roof, improving sanitation, and restoring a space where children can learn with dignity and comfort. On 9th May 2026, a team of 25 SG-GCC employees made the journey to Karjat for the inauguration — and what followed was one of the most heartwarming days we've had as a team. 💬 Our colleagues engaged directly with the children — encouraging them, listening to them, and speaking passionately about the importance of women's education 🎵 Our very own music band performed live — filling the school with melodious tunes and Bollywood favourites that had the kids singing and smiling Seeing those children in a brighter, safer, better space — that's what makes the work meaningful. At Saint-Gobain, we believe Sharing is Caring — and moments like these are a reminder of why we do what we do, beyond the workplace.
