The degree was the plan. Everything else was the education. I spent months as an OSHC educator, looking after Australian kids in before and after school care. Patience, energy, reading a room of thirty+ eight-year-olds. That's skill set no classroom teaches you. And yes, I worked at a kebab shop too. Honestly, what's more Australian than that? It taught me speed, composure, and how to keep a smile through the pressure. None of these experiences were part of the plan. All of them shaped me. Iqbal put it better than I can: قناعت نہ کر عالمِ رنگ و بو پر چمن اور بھی، آشیاں اور بھی ہیں Qanaat na kar aalam-e-rang-o-bu par Chaman aur bhi, aashiyan aur bhi hain "Don't be content with this world of color and scent; there are other gardens, other nests."
