Climate resilience is built through deliberate action and shared responsibility. Through a deliberate land restoration initiative in Masaka, Rwanda, Sahara Group has planted 10,000 trees across six hectares and replaced 2,000 roadside trees along the 6.3-kilometre stretch from Masaka to Kabuga Road. What makes this effort particularly meaningful is what followed. The project was officially handed over to the community, with more than 500 citizens, local leaders, and stakeholders coming together to celebrate the impact and take ownership of the restored landscape. For Sahara, environmental stewardship is about building systems of care and responsibility that outlive the projects themselves.
