🚀 New beginnings at Databricks 🚀 I’m excited to share that today, on the auspicious occasion of Laxmi Puja, I’m joining Databricks as a Senior AI Engineer in the Forward Deployed Engineering team. Even more special, my journey begins at our annual team offsite in Jaipur. For a role that is remote-heavy, this feels like the perfect coincidence: starting on a festival, surrounded by teammates, with too many things aligning at once. As the originator of Apache Spark and the creator of the lakehouse, Databricks has always been at the intersection of data, analytics, and AI. With bold bets like Mosaic-powered tools, DBRX, and partnerships with Anthropic, Google Cloud, and now OpenAI, it’s clear that Databricks is shaping the future of generative AI and agents at scale. And with a culture that values first-principles thinking and customer obsession, it felt like the right place for me. I’ll be working on building and productionizing first-of-its-kind GenAI applications. Having previously published in this space and filed a patent, I can’t wait to continue exploring the frontier of RAG systems, multi-agent workflows, and applied LLMOps. A few special thanks to Tilak, Brooke, Mary, and Pradeep for the opportunity, trust, and leadership I am excited to learn from. And to Debarshi, who remained my advocate and guide throughout the hiring journey. To all mentors & teammates from my past chapters, thank you for shaping this journey. This also comes at an incredible time: Databricks has just raised its Series K at a $100B+ valuation, and is doubling down on making Agent Bricks the go-to platform for building AI Agents. I feel very fortunate to join at such a pivotal moment. Here’s to new challenges, continuous learning, and making real-world impact with AI.
