SAFEr Grid goes #openscience. Earlier this week, Patrick Pollok, Guillaume Yon and Frank Piller from our project team participated in the #OIS2026, the #OpenInnovation in #Science Research Conference at Copenhagen Business School, chaired by Marion Poetz, Susanne Beck, Henry Sauermann and Christoph Grimpe. The annual OIS Research Conference brings together scholars from across disciplines who are interested in investigating and discussing the role and value of openness and collaboration in science. The researchers from the RWTH Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) presented the SAFEr Grid project and discussed how openness can contribute to its mission of designing a more stable and resilient European electricity grid (side note: This may be seen as a paradox: can #openness really lead to more stability, security, and resilience? YES, as the internet and open source software have taught us). Guillaume Yon did a marvelous job presenting the complexity of the project to a non-expert audience.
