It's thrilling to think that Elisa Baciocchi (Napoleon Bonaparte's sister), Nicolò Paganini, Salvador Dalí, Jacqueline Kennedy, the Queen Mother... and actors like Tom Cruise and Harrison Ford, who rented the villa in the summer in the 80s, have all walked on this lawn. But also my grandmother, who as a child used to come here for Easter picnics, and the prince, who was called "mad" for his eccentricities, would bring them wine in crystal bottles and pour it into fabulous glasses. Or my father, who with his friends would jump over the perimeter wall during World War II to get chocolate from the Americans who had made the villa their headquarters... and then my grandfather, who would come to mow and collect the grass and bring me along, so I could play and run without restraint. Today, the Villa Reale of Marlia is a dream come true. The restoration of the park and palaces, the possibility of visiting them, and the events that are organized so that this wonder can be enjoyed by all, is a dream that has become a reality. And every time, in every season, for every event, it's an enormous thrill to be able to participate and live it firsthand. Thank you Henric Grönberg
