A Day of Play for 1,000 Children! ✨ Today, the Ministry of Education, Ghana Education Service, Sabre Education and partners celebrated International Day of Play with a School Play Day at Pantang Presbyterian Basic School in Greater Accra. Around 1,000 children took part in games, outdoor activities and joyful learning through play, showing the power of active, child-centred early education. The day brought together government officials, district education leaders, partner NGOs and education stakeholders to celebrate play as a fundamental right for every child. It also highlights Ghana’s national commitment to play-based learning, as the Government of Ghana, Sabre Education, Right To Play Ghana , Lively Minds and Innovations for Poverty Action work together to support the national scaling of play-based kindergarten teacher training. Because play is not a break from learning. Agodie yɛ adesua — Play is learning. 🇬🇭 #InternationalDayOfPlay #IDOP2026 #ActForEarlyYears #PlayIsHowChildrenLearn #EarlyChildhoodEducation #PlaybasedLearning
