Yesterday, we celebrated International Day of Play with children, teachers, government leaders and partners at our School Play Day in Greater Accra.☀️ Today, we’re continuing the conversation. To mark International Day of Play, the Ministry of Education authored an article, with support from partners, exploring why play matters in the early years and how it supports children’s academic, social, emotional and physical development. The article also highlights Ghana’s national commitment to play-based learning, as work continues to train all public kindergarten teachers across the country, helping more children experience joyful, engaging and child-centred learning from the very start. Featured by MyJoyOnline, Adom Online, Graphic Online, GhanaWeb and the Business & Financial Times, the article is helping to spark a national conversation about the value of play. 🔗Read the full article: https://bit.ly/4xvoLIy #IDOP2026 #ActForEarlyYears #PlaybasedLearning #PlayIsHowChildrenLearn #EarlyChildhoodEducation #InternationalDayofPlay #ActForEarlyYears
