It may seem small, but this little powerhouse is a key part of our drinking water network in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands. Operating in Murputja but also supplying the nearby communities of Nyapari and Kanpi, the reverse osmosis desalination plant can produce up to 22 million litres of safe, clean drinking water per year. To put this into perspective, our Adelaide Desalination Plant can produce around 13 times more water per day than Murputja’s facility produces in one year!
