After serving the Swan Reach Township for nearly 5 decades, work is now underway to replace four 45-kilolitre fibre-enforced polymer water storage tanks. 2 new 90-kilolitre elevated steel tanks are being constructed in their place, which will help enable the continued supply of River Murray water to our local water treatment plant before it flows through our network to around 700 residents in the Murraylands town. Crews have already completed the tanks’ concrete bases, with work since beginning on above-ground steelworks. The $12.4 million project is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2027, with no planned disruption to our customers’ water services during this time. Read more: https://bit.ly/4ej0lsN
