We recently brought together people who support their communities every day. We’ve been working alongside community leaders and organisations across South Australia — along with the South Australian Financial Counsellors Association and our Vulnerable Customer Advisory Group — to deliver Talking Power our Energy Literacy training. It’s focused on making energy easier to understand at home. Things like how to read a bill, where to go for help, and ways to manage energy use without it feeling overwhelming. There was a lot of shared experience in the room. People learning from each other and thinking about how they can take that knowledge back into their communities. One person summed it up simply: “This information is life changing. I can take this into schools for Yr 11's and 12's” “How is anyone who hasn't had this training supposed to navigate this”.
